Sorry, wrong number...

I got a text sent to my mobile phone the early hours of this morning that said "Hi Gorgeous".

Now, I know that this text was not meant for me, as the only person that would send me a text like that was tucked up in bed beside me snoring away.

Or was it meant for me....I don't recognise the number and I must admit I was a bit tempted to text back to say thanks!  But this brings me on to a story of something that happened to our friends a few years ago.

Our friend Peter got a text message on his mobile - by mistake - from a girl called Sarah asking him "How was he and what was he doing".  He didn't know who she was and at the time and was happily married to Debbie with 2 kids, well we thought they were happily married but found out later they were not at all.  Anyhow, for a giggle he texted Sarah back and gradually over the months they built up a friendship.  She lived 100's of miles away and was also in a loveless marriage.  So, they began to secretly meet up - not easy to do when he was in full time work with very little spare cash to hand and she was a teacher with a young family living up the other end of the country.  They both decided that they were right for each other and that her stray text (that should have gone to her friend) had brought them together.  So they both divorced their partners, married and live very happily together in her home town and have done for the past 8 years.

I don't think I will text back...mainly because the sender may be disappointed!

Mutterings - Ernest is winging his way to you as we speak!

I just can't resist, it's not my fault...honestly!

Well, where do I start.  I had every intention of just eating one of them, I did honestly. And you have to understand it was a really shitty evening yesterday.  I was very upset by the loss of my PC, so you could say I was grieving.

Yes, last night I ate 3 of them....and they were bloody lovely...and I don't care either.

Thankfully DH has managed to get our PC up and running...and it's a lot faster now (mainly 'cos there is nothing stored on it!)

I am just helping Ernest to pack up all his belongings and will be taking him to the post office tomorrow morning.  My son is not coping well at all at his leaving.  I wouldn't mind but he has 2 shelves full of soft toys in his bedroom that he never looks at lol.  I would have posted him today after work but I managed to get a much needed hair appointment...and I can actually see where I am going now, which is a great help.

So, all you lubbly bloggers, have a great weekend and I look forward to reading all about Ernest's adventures at mutteringsfromthemoor when he gets there early next week.

Kids, what do you do with them.....

Well, I am not a happy bunny.  Both our family computer and my DD's lap top has have been hit by a virus.  So much for our virus checker. Everything has been lost from hers and I will find out how badly affected the family computer is tonight when DH comes home from work but it is not looking good for my old pal.  So, I am using DH's lappy and I hate the bloody thing!  DD says she is not to blame, obviously someone broke in last night and did it.

Ernest will be leaving us tomorrow for his new home.  Hope eveyone is having a better day than me!

Time to say goodbye...farewell... adieu...

Our last day with Ernest is here, I can't believe it's been a week.  It's had it's high's and low's but on the whole I have to say it's been very enjoyable.  I feel that Ernest has become a little bit more worldly wise after this visit.  Well, the draw has been made...and the next lucky person to have Ernest to stay is:

Mutterings from the Moor

Well done Mutterings!

If you email me your address, I will pop the little chappie in the post tomorrow.

Didn't see that one coming.....

Well, we have just got back from the vets. I came home from work this afternoon to find Ernest looking very sorry for himself and the cat with a smug look on his face. Apparently, Ernest was minding his own business watching Diagnosis Murder on the television when the cat decided he wanted to play. Ernest didn't so the cat gave him a left hook with his claws out!!! How spiteful is that....just as Dr Mark Sloan was going to reveal who did it too. Well, there was a scrap and Ernest came off worse then the cat. Feathers everywhere. He has a sore wing and a very bruised ego. What can I say...worse then kids.

Each blogger that Ernest stays with needs to put a little 'something' in his box as a memento of his visit. I have decided to make him a passport so we can write in it all the places he has stayed. Now, I never watched Blue Peter on a regular basis as a girl but I will do the best I can. Will post pics tomorrow as my camera has just died a death and needs recharging.

Hope your week is going well...and if my boss is reading this...we need milk in the morning Keith!

Who will it be next, I wonder...

Sadly, Ernest only has a few more days with us, then it will be time to fly off (with thanks to Royal Mail) to pastures new.  Now, as I am a relatively new blogger I don't have as many followers as those who have been at it for yonks!  So, which of you little beauties would like to be charged with his next stop-over?

Now Ladies and Gents, not all at once lol.

If you would like to have the cheeky chappie come and stay with you for the next week, then please leave a comment on this post.  If there is more than one of you , I will let Ernest draw the lucky person from his lickle silver bucket that is Mom Penny kindly packed him off with when he left The Hen House last Wednesday.

Sorry, I can't talk about it anymore as I'm getting all choked up here.

A sobering thought....

After a night on the tiles, Ernest was a bit delicate this morning so we let him have a lie in.  After lunch we wrapped up warm and headed off to the park.

First off Ernest had a go on the see-saw...

Then it was straight on to the slide...

And finally.......

A nice hot cup of coffee before the long walk home.  Now who said that Rooster's couldn't fly then..........

OK he needed some help from my son but he got there in the end.
